Country-specific priority topics

The ECOMORE project is implemented in four countries of the Southeast Asian region (SEA): Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam.


In accordance with the global framework of the project, each country participating in the project opted for a relevant priority topic shaping with the National strategies. These country-specific components of the project have been defined in tandem with National authorities:


In Cambodia, the focus is on improving the monitoring of disease emergence and progression related to changes in human demographics and transportation.

In Lao PDR, the focus is on analyzing relationships between rubber plantation development, variation of mosquito populations, and its consequences on public health.

In Myanmar, the focus is on improving diagnosis, early detection and surveillance of severe respiratory diseases in children.

In Vietnam, the focus is on measuring impacts of more intensive livestock production to community health
